It’s trivial, but for spam ... No, of course, I’m not a malicious spammer who throws everyone from morning to evening with ads and links. And my profile on Google + looks pretty decent (you can look here ). But, nevertheless, I came under a multi-day ban.

By the way, the saddest thing about all of this is that, in addition to the Google + social network, the channel to YouTube is also blocked.

As a result, all my video tutorials on YouTube became unavailable, and those who wanted to see them on my blog simply could not do this until the profile was unlocked again.

But let's still go back to the reasons for blocking. I singled out a few for myself:

1. Duplicate entries on the wall. I sinned in this case at first, and then just forgot to clean the page. The fact is that with the publication of advertising posts with their affiliate links in different communities of Google +, they are at the same time stored on our wall (and one and all). So it turns page spammed.

By the way, I see a similar picture in the profiles of many colleagues - partners. So, if you do not want to fall out of favor with Google, do not forget to remove from your page duplicate posts and remove advertising events (trainings, seminars, etc.) that are no longer relevant.

If you want to revisit a product again, delete all previous posts about it. And do not copy the text completely, but write something from yourself in the form of a friendly recommendation. Such a post will not look like intrusive advertising, and will attract much more attention to your friends.

2. Fill in the correct information about yourself. Write your real name (for Google’s invented names, it can also be blocked, as well as for pictures that he didn’t like instead of real photo users). He does this, however, selectively, but it is better not to risk it.

With other data is also better not to fantasize. Moreover, it is not at all necessary to indicate all the information about yourself. Specify only what you see fit.

3. Do not be zealous with adding friends. Adding friends to Google + is very easy, especially since the service itself offers a list of people who may be of interest to you. But this should not be abused.

In general, do not add to your friends every day for 50 or even 100 new users, do not terrorize people with regular invitations to events and do not impose advertising on them.

Recruit friends gradually, comment on other pages, publish on your wall not only ads, but also useful and interesting content for others - and you will be happy, as they say ...

So what to do if you are still blocked?

• Do not panic, everything can be fixed.

• Review the reasons for blocking and quickly eliminate all violations. Usually, reasons are indicated in the letter. Either in the upper part above your avatar it will be written in red that the profile is blocked ... “find out details”

• Appeal. This is done through this form . And although it is written that the consideration of the appeal and re-check the profile takes from 5 to 10 days, if you did everything correctly, the process will accelerate. It took me 3.5 days (with days off).

• If several days have passed since the blocking of your profile, you have eliminated the violations and filed an appeal, but there is no backlash - create a topic with a problem on this forum .

A worthy alternative, while your YouTube channel is not working

When my Google + profile and YouTube channel were blocked, I was just working on a new video tutorial for a blog about creating mind maps in X-mind . The problem is a problem, and I, of course, was not going to postpone it with a video.

Therefore, I decided to look for alternative options for placing my video lessons.

Considered only 3:

• Rutub - for some reason distorted my video in hd-format, after which its quality left much to be desired. Also did not find the resolution settings there. I did not bother, and went looking for further.

• Yandex.Video - I liked this service more than Rutub. There is no problem with the quality here (at the bottom of the video, you can choose standard or hd format, if your recording allows). And of course, get the code to place the video on your website and set the desired window sizes there. Unfortunately, this feature is no longer available. Now the video can be downloaded only on Yandex.Disk.

• Vimeo - it was on him that I stopped.

Despite the fact that Vimeo is an English-language video hosting service, with my elementary knowledge of English, I nevertheless, without any problems, posted a video there and got what I wanted - super hd-quality. This video is no longer embarrassing to put on a blog and show the audience.

You can register there in a few seconds by logging in via your Twitter or Facebook account.

Like on YouTube, the video on Vimeo can be optimized by adding a title, description and tags to it. And also get the HTML code to place the video on your blog.

As for the shortcomings, it is:

• Several long processing roller. In my case, the 11-minute video was processed for about 30 minutes. Still, quality takes time.

• Video posted on the blog can be viewed in HD-format only by going to the website Vimeo. com If you look from your blog, the quality, again, is average.

These are the disadvantages of a free Vimeo account, but as you can see, they are not lethal.

So, to summarize ... What is the moral of my opus?

1. It is important to observe moderation in advertising and not to cross the border from unobtrusive recommendation to annoying spam.

2. You always need to have an alternative. Whether it is other social accounts, or hosting to post your videos, where you can continue to communicate with your audience.

3. If you are recording video lessons, then, of course, save them in several places. On my computer, perhaps on removable media, in “cloud storages” and, of course, on different hosts on the Internet.

If in the future there will be a problem with playing your video, you can quickly solve it.
